I’d like to share with a revelation I had over this past weekend. I found myself caught up in the excitement of the Holiday season and the excitement of looking forward to and planning for the New Year. The momentum starts to build starting on Thanksgiving with all the sales and advertisements and got into full swing by the time we hit Christmas. It’s easy to get swept away by it all. Admittedly I have. But I realized that somewhere in between Christmas and New Years there has to be some time to pause and reflect. It is a shift from excitement to a more introspective and contemplative time to reflect on the past year. Whether you look back on 2014 fondly or with frustration there are certainly some lessons and learnings. We have the gift of this short time in between the excitement of the season to count our blessings, course correct or even consider a new path. Give yourself this gift, take the time and remember to pause, even if just for a moment.
