Job Searching with Social Media

Times are certainly changing.  I have been a Career Consultant for almost 15 years and keeping up with the changes in the job market and world of work has never been more necessary especially during these very dynamic times.

One of the biggest changes in job search over the past 5-7 years is the use of social media by both employers and job seekers.  It has almost become a necessity for both parties.  Because of this growing trend, last Fall I have partnered with Anne Pryor of Meaningful Connections.  Anne is one of the best LinkedIn branding experts in the Twin Cites and works 1:1 with Cultivating Careers clients to increase their online presence.

I have also recently had the honor of previewing the soon to be released book by Joshua Waldman, Job Searching with Social Media.  Over the next few days I will share with you my insights and critique of this book as a resource for job searching.
