In my soon to be released book “Navigating Through Now What?”, I go on and on for pages andpages about many circumstances that force us to re-examine our careers and consider various options. I talk for entire chapters about how to assess yourself and your situation in order to make confident choices about your future. But when all is said and done fear and doubt immobilize people, even causing them to stay in obviously horrible job situations.
Whether it is fear or doubt, you will able to take a closer look at what is at the root of these to better understand how to eliminate them as barriers to moving forward. The book outlines how to let go and trust that there is something better on the other side of the career crossroad. It talks about mustering the courage and building in a support system to bolster you through the change.
In the end fear and doubt don’t have to be barriers to change, there are ways to navigate through it. Watch for “Navigating Through Now What?” to be available April 7,2011.
