Lessons learned from clients that got jobs
In debriefing with my clients that have successfully landed jobs, often after very long searches, there are some definate themes.
Networking -
They will never let their network die. They will make a plan to keep in touch and stay current. Also they will be more gracious about having conversations with others when they get called to network.
Staying Vigilant -
They say they will keep there eyes open to the changing world around them and not be caught by surprise again. They won’t rest on their laurels. They’ll look at change as opportunity.
Proactive Career Management-
My clients say they will become committed to better managing their careers. They will keep their skills current. They will keep better track of accomplishments. They will regularly access their career path to make sure they are on course.
My clients will concur that careers are in deed cultivated through our lifetime.
