Creating a Buzz

The secret to landing in this competitive market is making yourself known. This means that a company and specifically a hiring manager is familiar with you and the skills and talents you bring before there is a posted job. This means 2 things for job seekers. One, make sure you can articulate your skills and talents in a way that is easily understood and repeatable by your network. Secondly recognize the value of conversations with hiring managers that do not have an opening at this time.  The more people you get “buzzing” about you, the greater the chance your name is top of mind when there does become an open job.
